CGC-graded Comics Featuring the Debuts of Spider-Man Villains in January Sale

Some of Spider-Man’s most threatening villains made their debuts in Silver Age comics, with several examples graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) being offered in an upcoming Pedigree Comics sale. Bidding is underway for the January Grand Auction on January 25, 2023.
Among the comics in this sale is an Amazing Spider-Man #9 graded CGC 9.0 featuring the first appearance of the villainous Electro, and an Amazing Spider-Man #14 graded CGC 9.4 with the first appearance of Spider-Man’s most famous archrival, the Green Goblin. Both Green Goblin and Electro have appeared in recent Spider-Man films, played by Willem DaFoe in “Spider-Man” (2002), and Jamie Foxx in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014), respectively. Both actors returned to their roles to appear together in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021).

Also found in the auction are the first appearances of villains Mysterio, Kingpin, Venom, Carnage and the Sinister Six, as well as occasional allies such as Punisher, Black Cat and Madam Web.
